Tourism on the Kenai Peninsula

Shady Grove Oliver - KBBI

Every summer, thousands of visitors drive, boat and fly to the Kenai Peninsula. This week on Coffee Table, we’ll be diving into the world of tourism in “Alaska’s Playground.” We’ll speak with representatives from the peninsula tourism industry, including Jim Lavrakas, executive director of the Homer Chamber of Commerce, Michelle Glaves, executive director of the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce, and Shanon Hamrick, executive director of the Kenai Peninsula Tourism Marketing Council. Our guests will cover fishing, industry trends, ecotourism, and…the bed tax.
